The training will address the following:

  • How to use results from enquiries to write conclusions and explanations

  • How to identify when further information or tests might be required and evaluate the enquiry

  • How to use relevant scientific language, illustrations and other to discus, communicate and justify scientific ideas

  • Knowledge of purposeful activities which allow pupils to effectively learn these skills
  • Knowledge of resources which support this learning

This course is suitable for:

  • Science Leads (in particular new leads), any teacher in KS1 or KS2

  • The course operates as a stand-alone for focussing on these key skills or as a part of the series of 5
